Juana was born in Lima, Peru. She trained in the visual arts and attended the School of Fine Arts at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. In 1995 she moved to the United States and starts freelancing in Graphic and Web Design. In 2005 she gets back to Illustration.
She now resides in Scottsdale with her husband, Chris, and two young boys. Kitty also lives there.
